• I cannot upload many of my pages, all sorts of problems since I updated. How do I safely uninstall 3.8 and return to 3.7?

  • Didn’t you have this problem before 3.8?

Using an outdated version is a security risk, so really not a good solution. Have you tried deactivating ALL plugins and switching to a default theme to see if that resolves the problems?

BTW, a lot of people have reported this issue on GoDaddy…due to their server configuration from what they (GoDaddy) have said.

BTW, I’m assuming this thread is related to your other one here:

Yes, you are correct on both counts. I had this problem on Thanksgiving Day but it resolved for some reason. It returned this past Saturday and has not resolved. I am primarily an end user and am worried about uninstalling plug-ins and changing themes. Have never done these things. If I deactivate the plug-ins will it change things on my website that will not be retrieved?

Deactivating plugins and changing themes is standard troubleshooting, it won’t permanently change anything. But if I were you, I would go back to GoDaddy and not take no for an answer :).

No. There is no magic bullet in these situations. This is just the start of basic troubleshooting and is a process of elimination deliberately designed to locate the root cause as quickly as possible by first removing the most obvious and common culprits via a series of (often) temporary steps.

Your theme & plugin settings are saved in your database and should be retained for future use.
