How do I turn off Leave a reply?

    Hello, I’m sorry I’m very new to this.
    I’ve tried following some other posts to no avail.
    I’ve Unticked comments under pages, screen options but it’s still there!!

    I’m using Twenty Twelve. Help greatly appreciated its driving me mad!!

    Those screen options only apply to what you see there in the editor at the Dashboard.

    Go to Dashboard > Settings > Discussion and un-check “Allow people to post comments on new articles”, and then you will possibly also need to un-check “Allow Comments” under “Quick Edit” for each pre-existing page or post where you do not want them.
