• Hi, so I’m new to all of this and my assumption was that WordPress was advanced enough to allow for different pages that display different posts.

I want to create a portfolio/news portal, which has different sections, for example: Sport, Culture, News, Tech and so on. I want tech news (posts) to show up on the Tech page and so on..

When I try to do this, my posts only show up on the main blog page, and my sections remain empty. I believe the sections accessible on the menubar are simply static pages. I’ve tried Cornerstone and Pages2Cat but the coding part of it I just don’t get, despite trying for the past day or so.

tl;dr: I just want a website where there is a homepage displaying ALL posts, and different pages on the sidebar that, when clicked, only display posts within that category.

My site is https://www.newsinnuce.com, if possible check it out to see what my issue is. I purchased that template without really thinking it through and now I regret it, it may not suit my needs.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • Hii Amokur i am novice user in wordpress bt as per my knowledge you want to show all the post on home page and if i click on menu bar (i.e pages )in your case side bar like tech or sport(correct if i am wrong ) then show the perticular category post .

as per coding wise you can have an option that create template for each category (place your code here for that category).then create category in category ,& add that category to your side bar (or menu bar ) so you can have an access .
