How do I show only part of my post on my homepage?

    I was just wondering if somebody could tell me, how it is possible to show only part of my post on the homepage?

    I have seen it on many other blogs but can’t work out how to do it myself.

    I have just made a new post and the whole post has gone on my homepage, but really I would like a small introduction area.

  • 1. When writing, you can use the more button where you want the “excerpt” to start.
    2. When looking through the plugins section, you will find many excerpt plugins.
    3. In the index.php of your theme, you can replace the_content by the_excerpt.
