I see in the back end plugin settings I can view a list of popular posts over the period of 24 hrs, 7 days, 1 month, and all time. Changing this seems to have no effect on the front end operation of the plugin.

It seems like the plugin, on the front end, is loading popular posts over the past 30 days.

    How do I change this?

    Hi Bob!

If this is your first time using WPP, chances are there isn’t enough data yet to display varying results when switching time ranges. Give it some time.

Additionally, if you have a caching plugin installed there’s also the possibility that what you’re seeing in the front-end now is a cached version of the widget. Flushing the cache and enabling the “Ajaxify widget” feature (Settings > WordPress Popular Posts > Tools) takes care of that.

Hector, thanks. It’s not a matter of data showing up, I’m simply not sure how to get the front end display to toggle between different time ranges.

Ah, about that you might want to check this.

Hector, thanks, but that’s still not it.

Simply put, how do I get the plugin, on the front end, to show a different time range? As far as I can tell it’s set to 1 month by default and I don’t see a way to change that setting at all. Am I missing something in the back end settings?

Ah, I scanned your comment too quickly and missed this bit:

I see in the back end plugin settings (…)

Assuming you’re using the widget version of the plugin, you need to go to Widgets, find the active WordPress Popular Posts widget on your sidebar and set your preferred Time Range there instead.
