• I would like to set a “Home” page as my first page. In older versions of WordPress I would go to Dashboard/Options/Reading and set this option there. In the version 2.5 I go to Dashboard/Settings/Reading, but the option is not there!

How, then, do I set a static front page in version 2.5?

    Thanks.

  • It should be. Do you have any Pages created in your blog?

Yes I do, but they are Drafts. Will my options change then, when I publish a page?

    Thanks.

No, you don’t. Not published – doesn’t exist.
You can not use a draft as your homepage, can you?

Yes, the options will appear if you have published Pages. (btw, you could have check it yourself!)

    Okay…thanks!

Well, duh, you’re right. I just didn’t want to make anything live before the whole thing was ready to go. I suppose a few seconds of being live to check this would not have hurt, but it was just the idea… ??
