How do I send email from wordpress set up on my local wamp server?

  • Hi,
    I set up a local wamp, I have a wordpress site on my local wamp and I want to have some email function for the site, is there any plugin that will allow me to send email from within my local wamp?

    What is the issue at the moment, you have the email function but it won’t send because your email server isn’t set up locally?

    I found a post here and successfully out an email to myself.

    However, now the question is can someone recommend a good plugin to use the email function? Thank you very much.

    Like a contact form? The send email function alone can take up 1 line of code, you don’t need a plugin for it.
