    I’m seeing the sidebar appear on pages generated by The Events Calendar despite them being turned off in my theme. When I create a new page or a regular post, they do not have sidebars.

    I’m using OceanWP and Elementor 2

    I have selected “Full Styles”, assuming that will let the theme control more, but it makes no difference if I choose either of the others.

    I have tried changing the Events Template in Settings/Display. If I choose the Elementor Full Width or Elementor Canvas, nothing is displayed for the calendar.

    I’d appreciate any feedback.

    To be perfectly honest, it doesn’t seem like The Events Calendar works well with Elementor, especially not considering the other problem from earlier where having an Archive template in Elementor would keep the calendar from appearing.

    Thanks in advance
    Kent

  • Hi @kentsor,

    Thanks for your interest in our products.

    I would make a copy of one of your page templates that does not include a sidebar and make it a global template by adding the following to line 1:

    <?php /* Template Name: Example Template */ ?>

    You can then select it from Events → Settings → Display → Template.

    Take care,
    Ed ??

    Ed ??

    This is not resolved, not by a long chalk.

    Hello, Ed

    Can you elaborate on how to:

    make a copy of one of your page templates that does not include a sidebar and make it a global template by adding the following to line 1:

    <?php /* Template Name: Example Template */ ?>

    Thanks

    I have the same issue… not comfortable with altering files. Why won’t it display with a full width page?
