• I am creating a website with WordPress for the first time and I have configured my homepage as a static page in . My home page URL correctly points to the root of my site. However, in the URL https://santos.objetodigital.com.br/ the page displayed is: Mindblown: a blog about philosophy.

Mike Matenkosky (@hikinmike) already submitted the following solution to the same problem for pickfetishx351 (@pickfetishx351):

“In the Editor find “Template” and you’re probably using the “Home” template. Remove that title and save.”

But I’m not sure which file I should edit.

    I’m using Elementor’s Hello theme.

Thanks if anyone can help me!

    Thanks for the tip!

    Sorry to jump in here!

It seems in this specific case, the issue is not related to the active theme or page builder plugin.

The text in question is from the default Twenty Twenty-Threee theme. If the site has been switched to the Hello Elementor theme as claimed, then this “Mindblown: a blog about philosophy” should not appear on the site at all.

It seems the problem is that of a stale cache. I see the following in the homepage’s HTML source code. Note the date stamp of 10th March.

    <!-- Page generated by LiteSpeed Cache 5.3.3 on 2023-03-10 22:32:16 -->

And if I add a random query parameter to the homepage URL (thereby bypassing the cache but loading the same homepage), I see a different thing altogether, as seen in the screenshot below.

So it seems flushing the LiteSpeed Cache plugin’s cache (and any other caching system used on the site) should fix this problem.

Hi George Appiah (@gappiah) Thanks for the tip!

Initially, I cleaned the WP cache, but I didn’t notice any changes to my website’s homepage in my Web Browser.

As you did, I inserted a parameter on the line in my homepage URL and everything worked correctly.

It was at this point that a light entered my mind and suggested that I clear my browser’s cache.

I cleared my browser’s cache and when loading the homepage everything worked correctly.

Then I used another browser and my homepage was there too.

    Grateful!

This is the default twentytwentythree Home content.

You can edit on the /wp-admin/site-editor.php?postType=wp_template&postId=twentytwentythree%2F%2Fhome&canvas=edit

From the dashboard, you can go to Appearance > Editor, and you can change the text.
