How do I remove MailPoet 3 completely?

    Hello,
    After repeated issues with MailPoet killing my client’s site, (due to SiteGround’s restrictions on CPU usage), including after MailPoet made changes to try and avoid this problem, my client decided to switch to another plugin.

    The problem is that she is now getting errors such as:
    “Warning: …/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php:310 WP_Hook::do_action():
    bloom_error: mailpoet [email protected] Authorization failed:
    in /home/cactiand/public_html/wp-content/plugins/bloom/core/components/Logger.php on line 93”

    Please tell me how to completely remove MailPoet, including any databases or references to it? Does the “mailpoet-uninstall” plugin work on MailPoet 3 too, or only MailPoet 2?

  • Hey Bryan, thanks for reporting.

    To completely remove MailPoet from your database, you’ll need delete the tables using phpMyAdmin.

    We don’t delete tables from the plugin because of the risk of deleting ones data by mistake.

    PS. It should work fine with SiteGround. Next time, let us know and we’ll be happy to investigate.
