• Hi Folks,

I have tryied all sorts of settings changes, but I cannot get rid of the ‘log in to post’ issue.

What I want to do is allow (known and anon) users/visitors to post, but hold the post in the moderation queue until approved. I DO NOT WANT only logged in users to post message. I want ALL users to be able to post messages.

Currently, if a visitor is not logged in, I get the following message “Sorry, you must be logged in to post a comment.”

I do not want this message to apprear, however, I want the comments to be held in the moderation queue.

Please help me fix/configure this. thx

  • Sorry I can’t answer your question directly, but I will offer this.

By allowing ” (known and anon) users/visitors to post” is asking every known spammer in this and any possible parallel universe an open invitation. And I dare say your moderation que will keep you busy far in access of any time you spend blogging.

But it’s your blog, have fun.

Log into the WP Admin, and go to the Options tab.

Scroll down just below “Email Address”, and uncheck the box that says “Users must be registered and logged in to comment”.

I must have read that wrong. You want actual POSTS or comments?

Hello Prissed. I got what I needed – thank you. My requirement was directed towards POSTS, not comments.

I had looed at the configs for a while .. I guess I just missed the checkbox you referred to . Thanks once again.
