How do I register someone already uploaded via csv

  • This is a follow up to my question regarding uploading passwords by csv. If I cannot get the password uploaded I would want to still upload clients with a unique meta such as “customer_number”. If I upload clients with that unique number and then create a registration so that the client can create a password the registration creates a new customer even when using that unique meta. So if I have “Jown Doe” with “XXX” and the use “XXX” in registration I now have “User1” instead of “Jown Doe”.

    How do I fix that?

    Easier though would to be able to upload clients passwords. See below…

    What I mean by registration and login is that if I use registration I can create a password and then login. What I want to do is just have a login page but no registration page, ie all passwords are uploaded by admin via csv file.

    I have user_password in my meta. I get both errors username and password are incorrect. If I go to users on the wp dashboard where I do see the existing user and change the password there it will then work. But that doesn’t help for the csv upload.
