How do I put a small diagram in the Arclite header?

    I have wordpress 2.8.5 and the Arclite theme. I am new to having a website. My website is https://www.chessinstructor.net

    I want to put a small graphic (jpg or similar) into the header of the home page, aligned to the right, and perhaps other pictures on other pages’ headers of the website, but I don’t know if it is plausible. Perhaps some instructions or a link to a wordpress help file?
