How do I protect downloadable products?

I’m in the process of creating a downloadable product.
It’s a pdf booklet.

In the Product data metabox:
When creating the Simple product, I select the ‘Virtual’ and ‘Downloadable’ checkboxes.
Under ‘General’->’Downloadable files’ I upload the file.

Then I save the draft product.

At that point, the uploaded file is in the Media Library and can be downloaded by anyone who has the URL.

I tested this by copypasting the URL into a private browser tab.
The file downloaded.

Is there a built-in way that woo provides that prevents direct product access without purchase?
