• Hi,

i have two domain names (e.g. https://www.mainsite-one.de and https://www.mainsitename-two.de) How do I map these two domains on a single site inside a multisite? Momentary I have single wordpresss installation and it works fine. Now i moved my site into the multisite and it only with one domain name accessable. If i point both domains to the (sub)-site in my multisite only the domain (url) which is set in the network Info is working. If i do a redirect from domain “two” to domain “one” it didn’t work also.
Does anybody know how to point more then one domainname to a site in my wordpress network?

    Thanks for your help ??

    greets uwe

  • Map the one domain you consider the best or most important into your site on the multi-site.

Go to your domain registrar and see if they offer forwarding. If they do then forward the domain to the domain name you are using on the multi-site. If you wish you can also use domain masking if they offer it.

Your other option is to create a site under the second domain in the multi-site and use the most rudimentary theme. In the theme header add a meta refresh to redirect to the other domain. Sort of wastes a site but not a big issue there.

And you can also do a redirect in htaccess. https://www.rapidtables.com/web/tools/redirect-generator.html
