How do I move Contact Form 7 from Tools to Settings?

  • Can anyone please tell me how can I move the Contact Form 7 link to be under Settings and not Tools in Admin area?

    I tried changing “return ‘tools.php’” to “return ‘options-general.php’” in the function admin_menu_parent() but that didn’t move the link.

    Currently when I login to WordPress Administration panel – where the Dashboard, Tools, Settings admin menus are – the link to Contact Form 7 options is under “Tools” administrative menu. I want to move the link to Contact Form 7 options to “Settings” administrative menu.

    The link you provided doesn’t help, can you tell me what do I need to change in the code of the plugin to make the link to its options appear under Settings and not Tools?

    I’d hate to remove this plugin, it’s a useful and easy to use tool..

    Hi,

    Upgrade wordpress and contact form plugin to the latest version and it gives a new option [like plugins, appereance, tools] for on that form from where you can manage it independently..

    Not being able to move the plugin link from the Tools menu to the Settings menu, which provides no functional difference, is a problem big enough to remove a plugin over?

    I don’t get it.
