    I am a new developer creating my first WordPress site. The theme we are using includes wp-block-coblocks-food-and-drinks and the “Item Attributes” in the Food Item block properties need to be modified. Can someone please provide me a link to the documentation for modifying or adding to this existing block?

    Thank you.

    Hi @theodulf,

    You caught me as I was looking at the page so good timing. Yes, you can update the item attributes when editing the page itself. First, you should click on the item you would like to edit. Once you are editing the item you may click on the attribute icons OR use the editing sidebar to enable/disabled attributes.

    Get a look at this screenshot for more context. https://prnt.sc/qketcy

    Thank you Anthony. I am looking to modify the text, not turn it off or on. I am testing this with Firefox and Edge, and neither of them expose the underlying text. How do I modify “Vegetarian” to say “Vegetarian option”, or create a new entry with this text for instance?

    @theodulf,

    The icons and the labels/words that appear with the icons are static and cannot be changed easily. Changes like this would require changes in code to the plugin. To accomplish this I would advise putting the desired wording in the item description.

    Here are some screenshots of what I mean.

    I was trying to avoid that, because it will cause some descriptions that are already too long to become even longer. I’ve been experimenting with some other popup tools and will give them a try again.

    Thanks for you assistance, and please consider allowing users to modify this text when you do further development on this code.

    @theodulf,

    Allowing editing of those labels is a good idea. Thank you for that enhancement request. I have gone ahead and submitted an enhancement request on the CoBlocks GitHub here: https://github.com/godaddy-wordpress/coblocks/issues/1238.

    Thank you for taking the time to write to us.

    Hi @theodulf,

    I wanted to follow back up after our last interaction. Last I wrote to you I had created an enhancement request. That request has been reviewed by my colleagues and we have decided not to pursue the implementation of this enhancement. We appreciate you taking the time to write to us and to make a suggestion. Please do not hesitate to let us know if you have any further questions or suggestions!

    Best regards,

    Anthony –

    Thank you for following up. We have found some other ways to solve this problem.

    Hi @paranoia1906 !.

    Im finding a similar problem.
    The law in Europe requires adding allergen icons to menus, so it would be great to allow to add extra icons to the food blocks.

    Example :
    Gluten icon , eggs icon , dairy icon …. there are 14 ..

    You can find the information here : https://erudus.com/14-major-food-allergens-for-eu-food-information-for-consumers/.

    So This makes the menu illegal in all europe if you don’t include these marks.
    Do you think there is a solution or a turnaround for this problem ?

    Thanks for your help ??
