How do I migrate to .org?

Hi all,

I need help as im going crazy with wordpress….

Big Newbie here so I appreciate your time for answering this very repetitive question.

I have no idea if i have the .com or not as I could not find a way to identify this any where… can someone point me to the right direction? I’m assuming I have the .com as there’s no plugins on the dashboard and it doesnt let you add any..

OK – Say i do have the .com version what are the steps to take to switch to .org? I have the domain, host an would like to customise the site and not go through the limitations of .com

Another question is i deleted all the databases and WP files from the root, but the site is still running! I mean, there isnt any content but it still runs.. not sure whats happening there..

All i want is to be able to use plugins and customise the site… im going insane looking for information….
