I am re-building my website, and I don’t want to use a migration plugin such as All-in-One WP Migration because there are many things (and perhaps some corruption) in my database that I don’t want to also migrate.

Is there a way to export and then import the tokens so that the users still see and can use their saved credit cards?

If I can’t migrate the tokens, it’s not then end of the world… it’s just that all the users will have to enter all their credit card data again.

I use WooCommerce and the Authorize.net CIM plugin.

Thanks in advance for any help.

  • Hi @thesinglegourmet

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you are looking to rebuild your website and wish to migrate user tokens without also migrating potential issues from your current database.

Unfortunately, due to security reasons and compliance with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), it’s not possible to export and import credit card tokens.

As for the third-party plugin Payment Gateway Authorize.Net CIM for WooCommerce, you might want to ask them about this since this is a third-party plugin that we don’t provide support for based on our Support Policy. I recommend that you reach out to the developers of the plugin for further assistance. They will be better equipped to help you resolve any issues you’re experiencing with the plugin.

All the best and hopefully, the issue will be fixed soon.

While it may be inconvenient for your users to re-enter their credit card information, it ensures their data remains secure during your site transition.

You can also check this support documentation about WooCommerce site and data security FAQ for your reference.

    Hope this helps!
