If I go here, it shows how to have different RSS Feeds, and how to limit the number of each. However, if I create a new page and put that in the code, it doesn’t work. What am I doing wrong?

I need to make a page because I have too many friends with blogs to use the widget. It makes my page go on and on, even when limiting the number of posts, which I don’t really like.

Are you putting this in using the Write Post/Page screen? You can’t use PHP code in the content, you have to put it in the theme or into a Page Template.

Ah.. gotcha. Sorry.. brand new to WordPress, as of yesterday. Still trying to make sense of it all. So if I wanted to have my own page with this, I would create a new php page and just upload it to the server?

Well that led me to the solution. I just had to load the Exec-PHP plugin and voila! Shows up exactly as desired now. Thank you!

Sigh… Not the solution I was hoping you would use. That plugin is dangerous and should be avoided.

However, newbies always do seem to like it, for some reason.

The correct way would have been to create a Page Template.

Ha.. well, I tell you what.. I will work on the “proper” solution in the next few days and see how I do with it! Stay tuned!…

Curious Otto why Exec-PHP is a “dangerous” plugin? Not arguing/doubting, just wondering why you say so?
