How do I link my Google business page to my website?

    I’ve just set up a Google+ Business Page for my website. I’d like to link the page to my site and Google’s instructions offer two options:

    (1) Webmaster Linking

    (2) Direct Linking (copying a snippet of code onto the homepage).

    Not being very tech savvy, I’d like to simply be able to verify my site through Webmaster Tools (an account that I have had set up for a long time – and of course linked to my site). Google’s instructions tell me that “If your website is already verified in Webmaster Tools, then the verified webmaster can approve a request to connect your website to your Google+ page”. But it doesn’t seem to offer me this option; only option two.

    Can anyone help me out?

    You need to grab the ‘code’ from Google+ and insert properly into the proper Page Template of your theme (ie, just before closing head or in body)…this work is always best done in a Child Theme as theme file edits are lost on theme update.
