How do I left align sidebars

Specifically, the ads I placed there. Seems they are center aligned and I want them lining up with the rest of the items in the sidebars. It looks messy the way it is now.
Maybe you could also tell me how to change the font of the titles in the sidebar. ie: Sponsor, Favourite Sites etc.
In fact, I’d like to change several fonts. I find them too large and too many fonts are in bold.
This is probably easy but I get so intimidated if someone says to edit the css file.
