How do I know it is really working?

    Most browsers will let you change the user agent it sends-thus spoofing a handheld or tablet theme, have a look: https://osxdaily.com/2013/01/16/change-user-agent-chrome-safari-firefox/

    Just try different UA string with this plugin-iOS and Android User Agents should show you the device themes.

    I wasn’t aware of this. Thank you very much! In fact after reading further there are browser extensions which switch user agent data.

    I think it appears not to work sometimes because of caching issues that sometimes linger. Better to literally switch computers in combination with your instructions and/or a browser extension to test your plugin.

    I’m convinced your method is superior to these other complicated plugins which in most cases fail to achieve mobile solutions.
