How do I know if a plugin supports “gettext”?

    I am looking to create a multi-language site and still weighing my options. So far, I’ve been leaning towards using a combination of WPML and Codestyling Localization (which allows you to easily translate plugin .mo/.po files).

    However, my main concern is that my website requires quite a few plugins. In the description of Codestyling Localization, it states that it works with plugins that support “gettext”.

    So I guess that’s my question – how do I know if a plugin supports “gettext”?
