How do I hide the timestamp ?

Our film series uses wordpress default 1.6 as a bulletin board for upcoming movies. It is very easy to update for the technically challenged. We have changed almost nothing about the format because we don’t know how.

Our entries usually have a title including the date of an upcoming film but then right underneath there is the timestamp that seems to contradict the date in our title and this is confusing our membership.

We use the timestamp to order posts on the main page, but we just don’t want to SEE it.

How can we make it invisible, but not disabled?
