Every time I try pasting a PayPal button into my site, WordPress strips everything out and it doesn’t work right. I want buttons with drop-down menus so the email option is insufficient.

There’s no reason on God’s green earth why my code should be tampered with. Where is the setting that tells WordPress to leave my code alone?

If you paste it in the editor window then WordPress, or more accurately TinyMCE, will always strip out any code that it’s told to and add it’s own formatting, which is a whole lot of stuff.

The correct way to post something like that is to either add it into a text widget (make sure to not click the option to add paragraphs automatically) or to paste it into one (or more) of your template files where ever it needs to go.
