• I have been looking for a SUPER SIMPLE template – I just need one page with very basic info and a couple of images, with fewer than 4 child pages. They need very little functionality. But it’s not a blog, I don’t need the damned comments and other junk that seems to appear by default on every WP page. I’ve tried turning off the comments in the individual pages and modifying the screen view but nothing gets rid of it.

    Here’s the page: https://www.capitolsquirrel.com and it’s this crap I don’t need:

    Recent Comments

    Archives

    Categories

    No categories

    Meta

    Site Admin
    Log out
    Entries RSS
    Comments RSS
    www.remarpro.com

And I don’t need the search box. Where can I find all that to blast it out??

  • Try checking Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets and making sure there are no widgets assigned to any of the three widget areas (Footerbox Sidebar #1, #2, and #3).

Bueno! You’re a star. Thank you. All that junk was in the footerbox sidebar in the widgets.
