    beginner question:

    How do I get the categories to sort on the shop page?

    also – How do I get the products to sort on the category page?

  • Hello @dealtek,
    You could show either categories, products or both. However, sorting options work only for products. But if you choose to display Product categories, they will order based on the date they were published.
    Go to Appearance → Customize → WooCommerce → Product Catalog? and select appropriate options.

    Product categories can be sorted by clicking on the hamburger icon and then dragging-and-dropping them into an order of your choice. Here’s a screenshot of that in action: https://cld.wthms.co/JeNh1L

    Products, on the other hand work almost the same, although you’ll need to first select the “Sorting” tab. Here’s a screenshot of that in action: https://cld.wthms.co/sQCfCm
