• Hi! I’m helping out a friend with her website and I can’t figure out how to get ride of the “///” next to some of the headers (kate-said.com). Please let me know if you know where to look.

    Thanks in advance!

    Have you tried:
    – Flushing any caching plugins you might be running, as well as server and/or browser caches.
    – deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).
    – If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.

Are you talking about the /// that sits after header text blocks like “News & Updates”, “Categories”, and “Testimonials”?

If so, this is a background image that’s linked to your h2::after style on line 27 of your main stylesheet (and also #footer-widgets h2::after on line 1586).

Ohhh that makes sense – thanks juslooken! How do I go about changing that?

You could simply delete the image which sits here : https://kate-said.com/wp-content/themes/theme1948/images/title-bg.png

This is the easiest way to solve your problem, but if your theme gets updated you will probably have the image re-uploaded to your server meaning you’ll have to delete it again.

A child theme is a solution if you anticipate regular updates to your theme and, while this is more complicated, there are plenty of resources available to explain how to do this.
