How do I get rid of the Search-bar in the menu (TwentyEleven-theme)

Hi,

I have a problem with search bar.
After latest actualization of this theme.. suddenly search bar came out of nowhere.

I need to get rid of it and also to stretch the menu back. Search bar for some reason even if I delete it with this code still leaves leaves room for the deleted search bar. It look awful.

For getting rid of it works this:
#searchform {
display: none;
}

But I need also code for getting rid of the free room..and stretch the menu.

Can somebody help me? ??
