• I’m troubleshooting a slow-loading in-development site. When I check it with GTMetrix, I notice that there are several instances of an MP4 media file consuming significant bandwidth but showing up with a ‘cancelled’ status and a size of 0B. It looks like WP attempts to load it for 704MS, then 554MS, then 4.3 and 29MS. Pretty significant when all added up together for something ‘cancelled’. So my question is… how do I get rid of that?

Simply find where the file is in your Media library and delete it, then delete anywhere you inserted it on your site.

“Canceled” simply means that the server gave up loading it for the viewer.

Alternatively, contact your hosting provider’s support, as of course that shouldn’t be happening in the first place.
