How do I get rid of "Leave a comment"?

    My website is called https://www.morejoy.co.uk. Its not a blog and its supposed to be a commercial site where I will post static information without regular updates.

    How do I stop people from posting comments altogether?

  • Settings -> Discussion. Untick “Allow people to post comments on new articles”.

    I did that already but if you go on my website, you can still write a comment or “leave a comment”.

    Then you must have previously allowed comments on the individual pages. You need to untick “Allow” comments in the Discussion pane of Edit Page for each of your pages. If you cannot see this pane, click Screen Options and ensure that Discussion is ticked.

    Thank you very much, it seems that the problem is solved. I’m very new to wordpress and things can be tricky sometimes.
