How do I get rid of ALL posts on landing page?

  • Hello peeps

    Here’s my issue. My blog shows ALL 500+ posts on the homepage which kills your browser. When I go to Settings/ General / Reading and set how many posts should appear per page, nothing changes. I’ve tried loading new themes, deleting all themes and starting fresh. I tried researching and placing code snippets inside the index.php to override whatever loop is happening, but no luck. I have my blog going to a specific URL, and the archive pages do show a limited amount of posts per page. But my main index page shows everything at once. No bueno

    Anyone else ever have this issue?
