• How do I get my descriptions to show up in the SERP’s.They are not showing up.I’ve tried adding <meta name=”description” content=”<?php bloginfo(‘description’); ?>” /> in the header.php of the wordpress blog Dyna blue theme, in the head section. But still nothing? All that’s showing up on google is the domain name.It looks really strange compared to all the other sites.

    1. Once you change your meta description you just have to wait
    2. You can’t force Google to show your description anyway. Google considers the description content but does not promise to use it.

Thanks for the advice but I wasn’t changing my description I was trying to add one because google is showing no description when you search for a specific keyword. The url and keyword show up,but no description where all other sites have some type of description.I assume there is supposed to be one and I am doing something wrong, just haven’t figured out what yet.

Doesn’t matter if you are changing or adding, you still have to wait and you still can’t force Google to use your meta description.
