How do i get from 3.5.1 to 4.3.1

    My company runs an online store using WordPress and WooCommerce. Neither has been updated since 2013, so I wanted to get the latest versions of both.

    The click to update for the wordpress version didn’t work, so I downloaded the zip file and followed the instructions in the readme file.

    I’ve backed up the store’s database, so I am not sure what to do next. How can I get from 3.5.1 to 4.3.1?

    As you have such an old version of WordPress, you will need to carry out a series of smaller manual upgrades. See Upgrading_WordPress_Extended for the full details.

    I’m having problems with FileZilla. It’s saying my login and password are incorrect, even though it’s the same login I have for the wordpress page.

    Your login for FTP is unlikely to be the same as your WordPress login. If necessary, contact your hosts for details of your FTP login details.
