    My website recently developed a problem, which is too much space between the content and footer in the home page and some pages in the publication menu. It’s just random at times. It’s about three weeks now.

    Is there a way that I can fix it, whereby it won’t affect any page again?

    Website: https://efemenaagadama.com/
    Wordpress version: 4.3.1
    Theme: Exclusive

    Thank you as I await response

    efelinks –

    Those pages have a video-container underneath the footer.

    Video-container is defined as:

    .video-container {
    position: relative;
    padding-bottom: 56.25%;
    padding-top: 25px;
    height: 0px;

    Place your cursor in the area. Right click (on a PC) then Inspect Element. You can see what is in there when the inspection box displays.

    If you did not explicitly add the video container, not sure how it ended up on those pages – unless it is a different template. Are the pages using the same Page Template?

    Kcalkmc, thanks for your timely response.

    The home page has a pre-built layout, a different theme which I added some weeks ago but the problem was already there as I was trying to resolve it

    In the dashboard, is there a plugin or widget that is used for displaying videos?

    No, there is no plugin or widget for displaying video. The original theme has but the home page is a different pre-built layout (theme)

    That video container element is added via JavaScript to make the video responsive. If you know of any plugins that could be responsible for that, you can try deactivating them.

    Hello Kcalkmc, I don’t mind giving you my log-in details to examine and help correct the fault if that will help

    If you need urgent support then we generally forward you onto better support avenues like WP Jobs. It’s to prevent you becoming frustrated that your issue isn’t resolved in the time frame that you want. This removes the need to give your login details to people on the forums.

    I think I’m getting weakened as I have been troubleshooting the issue without any solution…. I will access the WP Jobs and see what comes out. Thank you, will still check this forum in case of any further suggestions

    Andrew, I’ll look into the said video container added through Javascript and let you know

    Try deactivating the Lightbox Plus Colorbox v2.7.2/1.5.9 plugin

    (@efelinks)

    Ok let me just try it now. Thanks

    I’ve deactivated the Lightbox Plus Colorbox but the problem is still there. I’ve equally deactivated the Meta Slider and the problem is still there. I feel like deactivating the “Insert headers and footers” and observe what happenes

    Clear your browser’s cache, I don’t see a large gap any more.

    If you refresh several times it will show. I’m using laptop and tablet to view the website just in case the laptop isn’t right….but let me just clear the cache first

    Sorry despite refreshing the page many time, I can no longer replicate the issue.
