    Hi All,

I’ve researched the forums and the solutions I found did not work. Can anyone with more knowledge than me point me in the right direction?

I installed ZenLite this morning and when I activated it, I received the following error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: add_theme_support() in /homepages/32/d180717758/htdocs/wordpress/wp-content/themes/zenlite/functions.php on line 9

I FTP’ed into my site and pulled the zenlite folder out of my server and onto my hard drive. When I navigate back to my site and refresh I get the same error as before. I can’t access my admin site at all. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Hi,

It is due to the theme zenlite. Please check either with the latest and compatible version of theme or default theme.

    Thanks,

Thank you for such a quick reply!! Perhaps I don’t understand. If I remove the zenlite files from my server shouldn’t that solve the issue?

And do you know of a way to change the theme if I can’t login to the dashboard?

Obviously you’re not using the latest WP 2.9.x version. add_theme_support() was introduced in WP 2.9.

But, are you sure you removed the zenlite folder from wp-content/themes/?

Zeo, You are right. Was just coming back here to report that the problem was that I didn’t infact delete the file to my hard drive… i must have just copied it. I went back in with my ftp client and deleted the folder. Issue resolved! Thank you!!
