How do I exclude a category or tag?

    You can use ‘Limit to Taxonomy’ feature to create a custom list of categories want to display.

    example:

    category=5,3

    Thanks for your reply. Yes. With the functionality you describe, I must choose all of the categories and/or tags I want to INclude. If I add more categories and tags, I must go into each widget instance and INclude those. What I would rather do is EXclude the one category that I do not want to be represented.

    I need the exact same thing. I’ve tried a plugin that prevents certain posts from being in the feed but it does not affect this one.

    Along with Recent Posts Widget Extended I use Display Widgets plugin

    It allows you to show/hide post(s), page(s) on certain posts, categories or pages. It is very flexible.
