    I have created an online course in like an hour! Super simple! Thanks for that! I actually do counseling and take my payment up front using stripe over the phone during out initial call. I don’t require my clients to order online so no need for a e-commerce/stripe intergration or a payment or a course access plan. There is no “set price” as it all depends on the number of coaching sessions but everyone is privy to the course materials.

    So… how do I add them as a student manually? The only way I seem to be able to “pull them in” is if I add the student as a “user” to my wordpress site and then apply the membership to their user account. I don’t feel comfortable with this option. Also that doesn’t give me a way to automatically send out an email with their username and password.

    Is there a work around for this? Let me know. Thanks, Sarah

  • @ss0530,

    Use vouchers — designed exactly for your use case.

    Here’s some docs: https://lifterlms.com/docs/use-lifterlms-voucher-system/

    Hope that helps,

    I saw the voucher system. I don’t like the idea of asking my clients to go register and fill in the voucher. I would rather just sign them up and send them login and password information.

    Also, how do you avoid random people “registering” for a course that isn’t offered online?

    I thought about taking the payments myself online which would allow for me to register them when I take their credit card over the phone, but I was noticing that I my “purchase” page is blank despite the short code.

    @ss0530,

    I’d recommend using open registration (without vouchers): https://lifterlms.com/docs/open-registration/

    Your clients can register and create their own passwords and and you can then add them to the course manually.

    Random people may sign up but they wont have access to a course unless you physically enroll them.

    You can see manual enrollment for existing users here: https://lifterlms.com/docs/manual-membership-management/

    Alternatively you could simply create WP Users on the admin panel using the WordPress interface, then manually enroll, then send them an email with their login information.

    Hope that helps,
