How do I edit the Search Widget?

  • Hello,

    I have added the default Search widget to my theme. The search button says, “Search”, however I need to be able to change that text. Where do I find the code to edit that widget, and do it so it will not be erased on an update? Assuming either the widget file is for each theme so not overwritten, or I need to use the function.php file to modify the search widget. Thanks!
