How do I edit so my comments work: my blog title pops up twice in the browser

    What do I need to fix to get my comments working?
    They don’t work, because when you go to post a comment,
    the browswer pops up my blog title twice

    Ie: https://gopiet.comhttp//gopiet.com

    Well, that 2nd one obviously needs to be taken out—looked all day at the code and newbie can’t figure out how…looking at the comment section.php.

    Anyone?

  • What website do you own? Very strange. You’ve repeated your URL link – can’t access it. I know you want to show us, but can you provide a proper url so we can have a look?

    https://gopiet.com is my website (family blog).

    that repeated link above is what happens when someone tries to comment (they get an error page, and that at the top…so somewhere it is programmed wrong).

    On your Admin page, go to Options. What is in the “WordPress address (URI)” and “Blog address (URI)” fields? DON’T CHANGE THEM YET. Just tell us what’s in those fields. Changing them to the wrong thing will take your blog offline and fixing it after that is no fun at all.

    hey, I solved this today…I had been using “Custom” for prolinks…instead of the default….sooo, I tried (in fustration) the “default” for that….and now, everything in regards to comments works (no more weird double name pop up like I mentioned above.)

    However, I now have a new problem I will paste elsewhere after i research if the answer is already here…(I cannot post!! When I hit “publish” or save or save/edit, it says: “R U Sure you want to navigate away? You’ll lose everything!” Grrrr. Now, I have no clue what made THAT change!!!! feel free to email me if you know.

    (BTW, they do have 2 different https://’s as you asked in your question….)
