  • Hi,

Make sure you are logged in, and then you should be able to just click on the thread and to the left of your posts should be a little blue text labelled ‘Edit’. Click on that and you may edit your posts.

    All the best,

    Rory. ??

    Hi Rory

I am logged in, and I don’t have the edit link.

    Any ideas? Thanks again.

Sorry, in that case I’m afraid I have nothing more to suggest! ??

    ok thanks anyway

    anyone else got any ideas?

I really need to get rid of these links as they are causing issues with the search engines – at least one of them is.

    thanks again ??

    (how hard can this be??!)

Hi, you can only edit a post for a short time after you have posted it, after that, it is not possible, you could try asking a a moderator to delete them, if there is some reason the links should not be there

Hi I’ve put a tag for a mod to check this post, if you put a link to the post and explain why it needs deleting or editing.

Thanks Mike. I would have preferred to contact them directly though – seems odd there isn’t a way to do this on this forum.

    Hi mods

Please could you remove the links from my post yesterday.

The reason I’d like them removed is because the google bots have crawled the page and now have indexed a page extremely similar to our existing blog page. This has severe implications for the search-engine friendliness of our site, especially as the proposed page has a different linking structure, and is largely duplicate in content.

I’m unable to simply 301 redirect the url, and I cannot ask google to remove the url while there is an active link to it, otherwise it will cause more errors.

Thanks very much in advance – Jonny
