How do I display the price of each extra option in my shopping cart and checkout

I would like to ask how can I display the price of each selected option directly in the shopping cart and on the checkout page? Is there any easy way to show the customer the detailed costs in the order summary, broken down into the main product price and the cost of each option selected under extra fields?
