How do I disable the default stock alert form when using the shortcode form

    The default stock alert form appears after the add to cart button for simple products but it appears before the to cart button for variable products. I want to use the shortcode to place the form in a custom position on the product page. When I add the shortcode form to the page, if I Enable Stock Alerts then two forms are displayed. If I disable the the stock alerts and select Enable with Backorders, the short code form is always displayed (even for in stock products) . How do I disable the default stock alert form when using the shortcode form?
