How do I delete the stock photo and put my video in its place?

  • How do I delete the stock photo and put my video in its place? I have already made the post and the post along with the stock photo is appearing. I don’t see the option under featured photos, is there some sort of featured video? Thank you.

  • Hi @lifeofacherrywife, it’s me again, @ricotheque from LyraThemes.

    Please make sure that “Show Example Content?” is turned off at Appearance > Customizer > General Settings in your Dashboard. This should remove the stock images from your site.

    Video thumbnails are available through Kale, but only in the Pro version. Please see this for more details.

    Thank you for letting me know. So does that mean that video cant work at all in Kale, that I cant insert a video on my blog, even if its not on the home page? Maybe a photo instead of the stock photo that opens to video?

    You can just embed the video in the post, then just use a photo for the post thumbnail.

    The great thing about WordPress is that you can just copy-paste in the URL of the video; the embed code will be auto-generated for you.
