How do I delete or change my Theme?

  • Hi I installed a Astra Starter site theme and am considering changing it to another theme that is more suited for our business. I haven’t hardly done anything so Im good with changing it.

    How do I change themes? I found the Astra theme I like, but do I need to delete the one I have now? or deactivate it? I don’t seem to see it listed in themes.

    To change themes you’ll head over to your wp dashboard and in the Appearance link, you’ll hover and find themes. Click this and find the “Add New” button at the top and explore the themes and once you find the one you are happy with you can install and activate it.

    After that, if you’d like you can delete the Astra theme if you’d like.

    Ok thank you,I found another Astra theme I like better, does it just install over the one I have? or do I still need to delete the current Astra Theme?

    It won’t overwrite it the actual theme, It will just change it. So the Asra theme will still be there unless you decide to delete it. But if by “overwrite” you mean will it change how your site looks and feels then yes it will.

    Also while you are exploring themes to choose from you can click on “preview” at the bottom right corner of the theme and this will give you an idea of what your site will look like with that theme before you go ahead and install and activate it.

    How would I delete the current Astra theme if I decide to do so? Its called “Outdoor Adventure” but I don’t see listed under Themes?
