How do I deactivate comments on Twenty-Twelve theme

    The allow comments box on the Discussion settings page is un-checked yet comments are still being solicited on pages. There used to be a way to turn off comments when a page or post was being created. How do I do that now? Using Twenty-Twelve theme and version 3.7.1 of WordPress.

  • For each page or post already created, in the Pages/Posts screen, hover over the page/post title, click on Quick Edit and uncheck “Allow Comments”

    Thank you, WPyogi! That worked just fine. I wonder why I didn’t think of that. I guess I’m just so used seeing it in the sidebar of the full edit screen. Thanks again!
