So, I installed Woocommerce and Storefront and now I am trying to solve this conundrum.
How in the earth I change the menu options of the theme?
I searched in the theme customization options, in the menu option of wordpress but couldn’t find the menu as such.
    Your help is welcome

  • Hi @adone56

Since your site is hidden behind a Maintenance screen, I’m not able to see what you have now, so I can only give you a generic answer.

To change the menu on your site, go into your site’s admin Dashboard and select Appearance → Customize → Menus. Next, select any menu you see listed there (usually called “Primary”, though it can be different).

You can then add/move/remove items from the menu, but make sure that under Menu Locations, the checkbox “Primary” is checked — that will then make sure that this menu is showing as your main menu.

    Hi
Thank you for reaching out to me.
The URL is visible now, I forgot to turn maintenance off.
I’ve already tried to do that thing you suggest before but there’s no menu defined there.
It seems like it’s something built into the theme which seems pretty crazy to me.

If you don’t see any menus listed under Appearance → Customize → Menus, then you can select the “Create A Menu” button.

Once this menu is created, you can add pages to it (using the “Add Items”) button, and assign it as the “Primary Menu” (under Menu Locations). Your site will then show the items you have added to this menu on your site.

I understand what you say but my question is how can I modify the default menu that comes with the theme, I mean this (see the screenshot please)

That’s generated by WordPress automatically based on the top-level pages created under Pages > All Pages. As my colleague mention, to *replace* that with your own customised version, you’ll need to create a custom menu under Appearance > Menus and then assign it to the “Primary” position:

Thank you very much for this explanation which solves entirely my question.
