How Do I Change Order Of Blogroll Categories

  • Hi,

    How do I change the order in which my blogroll categories are displayed. My blogroll is divided up into the following categories:

    Everywhere Else
    New York Bloggers
    Other Sites Of Interest
    Resources

    I would like Resources to be the first category listed, then New York Bloggers, then Everywhere Else, then Other Sites of Interest.

  • I’d like an answer to this too. I have several sites where this is an issue. Being able to change the order of blogroll categories would open up a lot more uses for the blogroll.

    The short answer is to you can change wp_list_categories to to your liking.

    Scroll down the page and read the section titled: Markup and Styling of Category Lists. there you’ll see how to change how the categories are listed. I would think changing the “order by” to ID, then setting each category to a new ID# is the way to go.

    I’m now using the My Link Order plugin, which seems to work fine.
