How do I block all IP addresses using Limit Login Attempts

    Hi. I am using Limit Logon Attempts and it is blocking attempts but I want to make the site as secure as possible. I have a static IP address at home and work so I want to block all IP addresses and white list mine and my service provider. I have tried the following:

    0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255
    0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000 – ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff
    ::::::: – ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff

    The above stopped most attempts but I am still getting some so I tried adding:
    0:::::::0 – ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff
    0:::::0 – ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff
    ::::: – ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff
    0:0:0:0:0:0 – ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff
    0::::::0 – ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff
    :::::: – ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff
    0:0:0:0:0:0:0 – ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff:ffff

    But I am still getting attempts from addresses such as:

    2a01:4f8:211:1d4f::2

    2604:a880:400:d0::1426:6001

    2800:485:0:5c:2d4f:a277:41f2:a55b

    2a01:4f8:c0c:8b69::1

    To name a few. How do I block all IP addresses therefore only allowing the ones I have white listed please.

    You did it correctly. The free version of the plugin doesn’t support IPv6 though. You might be interested in upgrading to premium which does support IPv6.
